Logo and mural design for South East Espresso, a cafe based in Rainbow Bay (Coolangatta) on the Gold Coast. The brief included a bade-like emblem which was hand illustrated. The mural artwork covers the large internal wall of the cafe, and represents the local Rainbow Bay beach just a stone's throw away. Waterproof paint was used so patrons who have just arrived from a swim, don't interact directly with the paint while waiting for their favourite coffee. The wall was painted over 2 days.
The original sketch that inspired the wall art, sketched when travelling to Wyadup Beach in Western Australia one month before the client brief. I was mesmerised by the waves at this beach and I am glad I was able to capture this inspiration in a client project.
